Thursday - Task 5

A very fast task from Disentis to Weissfluhjoch, back to Montalin and goal in Schiers. Stefan Wyss flows this 92km in 2 hours and 20 minutes followed by Michael Küffer, Lukas Gantenbein and Urs Schönauer. Chrigel Maurer and Peter Neunschwander lost more than 15 minutes. Chrigel even did not cross the goal line. Who will win the Paragliding World Cup Disentis 2015?

The conditions were good and with south-west wind the first part from Disentis to Flims was very fast. Low at the Calanda it was quite rough as expected. We had three incidents today (one pilot broke his arm).

The final ranking will be published this evening.

Today the pilots flown a 82km task from take-off to Oberalp-Pass, next waypoint was Trun, followed by Piz Pazzola and Piz Tgietschen, then Alp Nadels and back to Disentis for goal.

The flying conditions were partially rough. Unfortunately we had two incidents one get off lightly and one has a broken leg.

Ferdinand Vogel was first in goal, closely followed by Michael Rohner and Christian Maurer. First woman was again Seiko Fukuoka Naville. What this task will change for the overall ranking would be interesting. We will see this soon when the official ranking is published.

Monday - Task 2:

Difficult conditions on the beginning of the task before the air start. Because of the humidity the thermals starts slow and the pilots has to fight to climb up.

The day was getting better and better relating to the weather. The task was set to Sedrun, followed by Vals with a big cylinder of 19km, going back to the start place, then flying again to the south site of the main valley to "Val Sumvitg", coming back to the north site to "Alp da Glivers" and then to goal with the safety way point Segnas. Total 63km.

The task was quite tactically, because of the big cylinder of the way point Vals. Winner was our Peter Neuenschwander 3 minutes in front of the two French pilots, Julien Burng and Chareles Cazaux. First women was Seiko Fujuoka Naville.

Sunday - Task 1:

Good start for the Swiss pilots at the Paragliding World Cup Disentis 2015.

Only Yoann Chavanne could prevent the total triumph with his first place. Behind him five Swiss pilots get ranked. Due to the predicted thunderstorms only a short task was possible. The task was set from Disentis directly to Flims with goal at the landing field in Ilanz.

Until next weekend the ranking wil change for sure. Let's see what the next days will bring.
